Hatchet
After reading Hatchet by Gary Paulsen, I was motivated to never give up. Just like Brian in the book. And as he thought many other times " I will never make it, I will just give up" he almost give up his life at first, but then something.... motivated him to continue. I am sure that some people had applied the method that Brian used "never give up". Not only that, this book had inspired many other young authors to write. If you're struggling to find a new book to read, then I hope Hatchet by Gary Paulsen fits your taste!

Give a Boy a Gun
Author: Todd Strasser
Pages: 208 Published on: September 1st, 2000 Publishers: Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing My personal rate: 4 out of 5 Give a Boy a Gun is absolutely a very good book, the author had made up a story for the readers to get a better understand of how school shooting happens. Though the title is Give a Boy a Gun, which some of you when saw the title would say "not my genre", but don't judge a book by its cover. When you start to read it, you will beginning to understand the reason why the author picked such a title for a small book like this. This book is something that I'd love to recommend to as many people as I could, with the purpose that they could understand why to stop the use of guns in a wrong way.

Matched by Ally CondieThis book was base on a Society that controls EVERYTHING (they basically don't let you make choices), the Society choose your soulmate, when you die, where you work, and basically everything else. When Cassia was chosen to be matched with Xander, she thought he was the right one for her. Seeing that Xander and Cassia were best friend ever since they were little. But Cassia's feelings had fall for Ky when his face showed up on her microcard even when she knows that Ky was a dangerous path to go on...and the drama begins
This book is really good, I highly recommended to anyone who are interested in love triangles, and the end might surprise you a little! |
